Scott Emergency Communications Center achieves LEED Gold
The U.S. Green Building Council recently awarded LEED Gold certification to the Scott Emergency Communications Center (SECC). Located in Davenport, Iowa and designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, this 28,000 SF, $8.2 million facility serves to consolidate and support mission critical services in the Quad Cities area. Design factors contributing to the LEED Gold status include controlled ambient, natural, and task lighting; acoustical control through room arrangement and tuning; and heightened air quality for health and comfort.
